Thomas Edward John Jr. (born May 22, 1943 in Terre Haute, Indiana) is a former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball whose 288 career victories rank as the 6th highest total among lefthanders in major league history. He is also known for the revolutionary surgery, now named after him, which was performed on a damaged ligament in his pitching arm.

Brett Morgan Butler (born June 15, 1957 in Los Angeles, California) is a former center fielder in Major League Baseball who played for five different teams from 1981 to 1997.

Butler spent his teenaged years in Libertyville, Illinois, where he was a reserve on the Libertyville High School baseball team that finished second in the Illinois state tournament. Upon graduating, he announced plans to play baseball in college, and his Libertyville High School coach, Ernie Ritta, scoffed. Butler, who had explored walking on at baseball powerhouse Arizona State, did manage to make the team at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

1. 安裝Quotmarks Replacer這個外掛，先到這裡下載plugin後，將解壓縮出來的檔案上傳到/wp-content/plugins/，再到後台將plugin啟用就可以了。
2. 開啟/wp-includes/default-filters.php 這個檔案，將所有使用wptexturize這個function的filter都註解掉。

Orel Leonard Hershiser IV (born September 16, 1958) is a former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. He is currently an analyst for Baseball Tonight and Wednesday Night Baseball on ESPN. In 1988, he won the Gold Glove, Cy Young Award, the NLCS MVP and the World Series MVP with the L.A. Dodgers.

Michael Joseph Piazza (born September 4, 1968 in Norristown, Pennsylvania) is an American Major League Baseball player who is currently a free agent. He began his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and played for the Florida Marlins, New York Mets, San Diego Padres and then joined the Oakland Athletics. He is a 12-time All-Star. Piazza is often regarded as the best-slugging catcher of all time, and holds the career record for home runs hit by a catcher. He had at least one RBI (run batted in) in 15 consecutive games for the New York Mets in 2000, the second longest RBI streak ever (Ray Grimes of the Chicago Cubs had 17 in 1922).

Greg Maddux is famous for his inability to hold runners on base. It’s about the only thing he hasn’t done well in his career, and last year the problem extended through the entire Padres starting rotation. For instance, runners were 44 for 44 against 6′10″ Chris Young.
